Rhonda SG The workplace here can be really draining and tiring sometimes. You aren't even allowed to be a bit mellow and quiet. The Aussies love you to talk and be chirpy and cheerful ALL THE TIME! Blardy hell! When I keep quiet and go about my work, they'll say I'm angry / sad / moody / unhappy when I'm just concentrating on my work!! Rhonda SG Reminds me of this Laotian-Aussie guy a friend brought along for a lunch outing one day. He wouldn't stop talking and trying to impress either and I got a headache mid-way through the meal, all because of him! They are unbelievable when it comes to talking... even post-operatively, they can start yakking away! Felt like saying, "Excuse me, but you ARE allowed to be quiet and rest because you just got out of a major op!"
